Spring lambs

When I took these photographs I thought spring had arrived but I’m not so sure today; the rain hasn’t stopped since yesterday and the poor sheep in the fields are really suffering.  Sheep don’t like rain at the best of times, but when they are carrying babies even more so.  Hence, our workload increases in such conditions.

Those that are lucky enough to have a place indoors in the maternity suite are cosy and dry; and for those that are slightly premature or sick, they are made a jacket to ensure they keep warm.  This season’s lamb jacket is orange!
